Shannon's Story
From a young age I loved nature. My parents loved the garden so I was in the dirt playing as a small child. My mum cooked great food with lots of vegetables grown in the garden, take out and junk food was rare.
As a teen I got right into personal development and discovered heaps about myself, others, and the importance of a positive mindset.
Years later when I had children of my own (yes I started Young), one with allergies and eczema, I had to look for alternatives instead of prepacked food and products. I discovered a great deal about additives in food, chemicals in cleaning and skincare products and creating safer products.
As my children grew up and went to school, I completed training in relaxation massage and started a small business from home selling skincare products and relaxation massage. I also worked with my partner Steve in the garden and doing general administration, this all went great until we had to move. We both closed shop and started a new journey.
I later decided to do volunteer work while studying business and got the chance to participate in a Green town program that was co-run with Environment Victoria and learned benefits of living a sustainable life. I became a home and business sustainability assessor under Environment Victoria after the program finished and rekindled my passion for nature.
